A Dolly Doodle Demonstration

Dolly Doodle here,or as I like to be called these days Lumber Jack Dolly, to demonstrate the goatie way of  getting rid of a tree!

I  am the best in the goat yard at this job. You can see because I am the tallest goat and can stretch waaayy up  to get the high bark . Now, you all may think I am just a snacking goatie but it is more than that! You see, this is the tree the lightening struck and I have decided it needs to be removed and what better way to remove it than by eating it!

I am very diligent in my work! I spend a lot of my day eating,..umm..working on this tree!

If you only knew how yummy my job was!
I munch all the way around,I never just work in one spot!
I really would...mmm...like to tell you all...more about my work...but I am really busy right now..
These are tough times,at least that is what the Maa says when she is looking at the feed bill, and every person and goatie has to pitch in and do their part! I do not mind at all being a career goatie as long as I can keep up my lumber jacking!
Now I have to get back to munching..errr..work!

I have a small tree in my goat pasture and they love nothing more than eating the bark from it. Its smooth all the way round. Keep up the good work Dolly Doodle.

I hear the male person muttering about the cost of grain all the time. I hope this doesn't mean he is going to take my grain away! I don't have a lightning tree to eat.

WHAT WOULD I DO!?

Haha. What great pictures! I can just see Dolly Doodle in that last picture, saying "Do you mind? Can't you see I'm busy here?"
Thanks for sharing this with us!

Tasty looking tree. But I think I'll stick with trying to eat the world's collection of Reeses cups.

Terrific Thursday story. The work of a lumber jack goatie is never done.

Thank you for sharing and making my day a little brighter.

I wish you were here, because I could use someone like you to help with a few of our trees!!

On my way to Kentucky last week, I saw 3 goats that looked just like you on the rocks by the highway...They weren't hitchhiking, just standing there on the rocks...I hope they stayed safe--The interstate isn't safe sometimes...

You are such a good helper, Dolly Doodle. I know Maa appreciates your sacrifice! :)

I could certainly petition the human to come visit and help eat, I mean remove, that lightening tree.

Tee-hee, my goats are tree demolitionists as well!

Do they eat the trees you want to keep?

Melodie said...

Kelly,
They really can't hurt these big trees but they will cause death by eating to smaller trees so you can't put them where you want to keep a little tree alive!

They are sure tenacious and love a challenge ;)

Totally reminds me of my daughter (she's four). There is an old tree stump in our back yard and she has slowly been breaking it apart with sticks, rocks and other "tools"... not her teeth and hooves
