The Doodle-etts have Arrived

This morning Dolly Doodle had her kids, the Doodle-etts!
Dolly had a beautiful black and white little girl yet to be named.

Actually, I wanted to call her Zazzy but The Boy would not agree! I think she looks quiet Zazzy...
Kid #2 is a little buck. He looks white in the pictures but is actually white and light tan. I hope his tan parts darken because his color pattern is very pretty also. He is named Peanut! Peanut has a ...umm...slightly..umm..let's just say he has a lot of character in his ears!
He has one Mr.Tumnus, Dwarf Nigerian ear and one floppy Dolly Doodle ear! I have never seen this happen before...maybe the floppy ear will straighten out?
I put on their kid coats,we are having pleasant temps but the nights are chilly and since they are just born a little extra snugly warmth can't hurt!
I have to throw in this shot of Daisy looking in Dolly's stall. The look on her face, she looks like she is saying,"Did you see what fell out of Dolly?" Daisy was the last kid born so this was the first time for her to see any babies born. She stayed and watched for a long time. I know this because I stayed and watched for a long time too!
So that was the excitement for today! Of course, future post will be full of cute kid pictures. After all,you can never see too many pictures of baby goaties!

How exciting - the babies are coming!! Didn't realize they would come so early - even though it's been mild here- still the dead of winter!! love the pictures!!

I had a baby last year with one floppy ear. It straightened out after a week or two. I think it may have to do with the position in the womb. Like the babies head was right against the mama's stomach wall and it squished the ear down. My girls are due to kid the first week of March, I can't wait!

After seeing all of the babies I can hardly wait until next year when we will have some goat kids of our own.
Congrats on some beautiful babies.

What a gorgeous little girl!! I am now officially excited to start here now! You got some incredible color on that little one and the boy with the ears? I get one every now and then and it does seem to straighten out but my last doe who was born with one floppy and one perky, is 2 years old and its still noticeable..not as bad but I suspect also, she got one ear from her Momma and one from the Pappa. and I Love Zazzy, she is very Zazzy!

Oh that Peanut is cute! Love those funny ears. I think I am glad I did not get one ear from each of MY parents. That would be very bizarre indeed.

I don't know how I missed all these posts unless they occurred yesterday when I was at my craft fair. They are both precious and I like Zazzy as a name. Congratulations on new kids. I can't wait!!!!
