Whoa, large and beautiful. Will you be saving any seed? I will trade you some seed. If interested I will let you know what I have.

Awesome peppers. Aren't they so much better looking than what you would find at the store?

Melodie, where did you get your original seed? Thanks for your comments on dehydrators!

IanH ,
I got all my seed this year from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.

those look great!!!!!
My favorite way to "dispose" of them is to stuff them with rice, meat and veggie mixture and roast them slowly.

WOW! I love seeing new things. What a wonderful heirloom bell pepper. Do they taste the same? They would be easier to cut up for cooking.

I think growing heirloom veggies and herbs would be even more fun. Knowing something from the old days is growing in your garden. Neat!

Melodie said...

the wild magnolia,
Yes, they have an excellent mild flavor!

What a great blog you have. I am still very new at all this blog stuff, started mine in order to keep track of life in my garden and then discovered there is a bigger and very informative bunch of garden folk out there. Hope you don't mind me following along, you have a lot of good information here.
